Methods of production of the CD Card

There are four forms of producing the cards of the CD basically. All are based on methods of a normal Compact Disk.

A mechanical machine is used to clip the card of the CD. The problems with the stamped cards are that that the sides are open to the dirt and to the humidity and they can affect the quality of the cards. The cards stamped also use four bundles to center the card. These represent a weak point and believe noises with the turns of the card. In many portable computers this also prevents that the card works.

This is a preferable technology because the sides of the card are cleanly cut and the sides are sealed when the cards are formed. At the moment this method is not used due to high cost to the production.

Plastic is injected in the center of the CD to create an area lifted to position the card inside the ring of the mini-disk in the tray of the CD ROM. In Global Card 2000™ are one of the production systems that have at the present time.

A machine carves and it seals the sides of the card. The cards are not exposed to mechanical or physical forces, like with the printing, and there is not any bundle, while we assure the integrity of the disk of high quality. The device of having centered used and the silicona, covered in each corner, sustains the card in its place without forcing the card and the reader. In Global Card 2000™ we use this method of preference production.
